Ridley Feedmill Westbury

MPN provided structural engineering for a new state-of-the-art extrusion feed mill at Westbury, Tasmania.

The project included a six storey steel framed feed mill tower structure which contains numerous pieces of complex equipment required for processing.

Adjacent to the process tower is a finished goods and raw materials warehouse.

The mill has a capacity of up to 50,000 tonnes of feed and will primarily supply feed to the Salmonid industry in Australia and New Zealand, as well as other aquaculture and extruded feed users on the mainland.

MPN worked with Wiley and Ridley and equipment designers to ensure that the structure was designed for optimum food production and has the capacity for expansion in the future.
