MPN’s expertise in providing a fully coordinated 3D project model using BIM led to the successful design and construction of renovations at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.

The transformation of the existing centre resulted in 150,000 sq. m of new retail space, making Pacific Fair the largest shopping centre in Queensland at the time of completion.

Significant basements were constructed under the new retail along with a system of flood inlets designed to flood the basement car parks to a depth of 600 mm in a major flood event to ensure no loss of floodplain storage for the Nerang River Catchment.

Roadworks upgrades were completed to Hooker Boulevard (Nerang Broadbeach Road), Gold Coast Highway and Sunshine Boulevard, including partial reconstruction of the connection to the Sunshine Boulevard overpass and Melody Street.

The works were completed whilst the existing centre was operational inclusive of maintaining the operational aspects of the bus interchange located within the shopping centre.
